Joshua “Josh” Costello has spent more than a decade developing the courtroom, litigation, and leadership experience he now brings to his own practice. His work has included jury trials, high-volume insurance disputes, personal injury litigation, law-firm management, and direct advocacy for people facing difficult circumstances.
Raised in Palm Coast, Florida, Joshua learned the value of honesty, hard work, and service to others early in life. He graduated at the top of his class from Flagler Palm Coast High School in Bunnell before receiving a full academic scholarship to Florida State University. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree in three years and then attended the University of Miami School of Law.

At the University of Miami, Joshua developed a strong interest in trial advocacy. As an intern with the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office, he participated in jury trials before graduation, including delivering opening statements and conducting cross-examinations. Those early courtroom responsibilities taught him how preparation, clear communication, and close attention to the record can shape a case.

After law school, Joshua joined the Broward County Public Defender’s Office as an Assistant Public Defender. He represented clients in felony, juvenile, and misdemeanor matters and gained substantial experience evaluating evidence, questioning witnesses, negotiating cases, and appearing in court. This work is part of Joshua’s professional background; Criminal Defense is not included among the firm’s current website services.
